It’s difficult to express what a surprisingly full experience I had today. Walking Dalt Vila alone after breakfast, and before visiting the Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art. Lanny had leg pain that made it difficult for him to be fully present with the art. Lanny and I agreed with my friend Marianne who wrote “Your trip sounds like an education in living with new limitations.” What an insightful perspective!
After the museum, I followed navigation instructions that took us straight into Dalt Vila’s wall… having to back up on a very busy, and narrow road, with many people watching and no one offering to guide was quite interesting… Leland wanted to “jump off to guide me!” I finally saw a spot where I could make a very narrow turn… I was so happy to have front & rear cameras I could use, the car’s alert system to let me know when I was getting too close, and for having paid the full rental car’s insurance cause I really thought I was going to scratch the car… And I didn’t!
We drove to Cala Portinatx expecting to have lunch there… The restaurant was closed. I did get to go and put my feet in the water though!! Anytime I have the opportunity to put my feet in the sea, I accept it. Lanny and I had lunch at Six Senses because Google Maps noted it was open, and had accessibility features. We didn’t expect the luxuriousness of the place, and now that I looked up their website I’m even more surprised! The lovely staff drove Lanny and I to the pool area in a buggy / golf cart. The view was unsurpassable. The food delicious. The company perfect.
I messaged a friend who’s also visiting Ibiza, and we went to see her! The experience was indescribable. The art of living authentically was everpresent. Although getting there was quite an experience giving the navigation system telling me to turn left at two different wrong times. A very enjoyable relationship was had.
So much gratitude fills my heart!
