This is the Tate Modern exhibition we’re chasing the tail of: Expressionists: Kandinsky, Münter and The Blue Rider.
Leland’s most memorable encounter with Kandinsky was an intensely emotional experience. It happened in New York at the Neue Gallery back in 2013. I searched for, and found an Art Review of the “Vasily Kandinsky: From Blaue Reiter to the Bauhaus, 1910-1925,” show in the New York Times.
My experience of the show was obviously different. My attention was focused on “Gustav Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (1907), popularly referred to as the “Woman in Gold.” After all, “[v]isitors from around the globe flock to Neue Galerie New York to see a very special lady”
