Raining
Clouds dance effortlessly through the sky as I sit down to enjoy the show. The dance is sometimes slow, and then unexpectedly it picks up speed. A flurry of colors paints the sky as the clouds sway through on their way.
And then the sky suddenly opens up letting rain sprinkle down to dance on the grass, the dirt, the concrete, the asphalt, the glass on the tabletop.
Just as suddenly as it came, the rain stops. Folks who had huddled under the arches come out. The clouds continue their sway in the sky. Moving rhythmically to their own tune.
Once again the sky opens up, this time the rain pouring down with gusto, almost laughing out loud. The sun even decides to peek through the rain clouds almost winking at folks caught unprepared in the rain dance.
The smell in the air is dense with the mixture of scents released by the earth getting wet. I lose myself witnessing nature's splendorous dance, grateful to have a front seat to the show.
Do you ever lose yourself when witnessing nature's splendorous dance?
